According to a press release from the Committee for the Tourism Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, clients of the disgraced tour operator Gulnar Tour are actively using the opportunity to rebook existing tickets to Antalya for later flights with Atlasjet Airlines.
Let us recall that Atlasjet Airlines had previously confirmed its obligations to transport tourists of the bankrupt company Gulnar Tour to Turkey on its regular flights from cities in Kazakhstan. To exchange the ticket in hand, tourists traveling to Turkey from Gulnar Tour must only provide documentary evidence of payment for the hotel.
According to preliminary data, within the framework of this campaign from Atlasjet Airlines, 270 Kazakhstanis have already flown to Antalya, Turkey, from Astana and 150 from Almaty. Another 680 people are awaiting departure dates. Thus, about 1100 tourists, who due to the illegal actions of Gulnar Tour had practically given up their hope of vacationing in Turkey, were given such an opportunity. Moreover, about 750 more requests for rebooking of air tickets are awaiting review.
