According to the travel search service Skyscanner, despite the economic crisis, Russian users are still actively planning their summer vacations and studying tours for the May holidays.
An article recently published by the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper presents statistics from the popular search service Skyscanner, according to which hundreds of thousands of Russians have already purchased airline tickets for their upcoming vacation. It is quite remarkable that while Turkey has been one of the sales leaders in the package tour ratings for many years, it is not even among the top ten most popular destinations for Russian tourists in the area of individual travel. The only exception was Istanbul, which is traditionally a pleasant and relatively inexpensive alternative to a holiday during the May holidays.
According to Skyscanner's rating, Prague, Moscow and Paris are the leading destinations chosen by Russians for the May holidays. The "city of contrasts" follows right behind them.
