Murat Ersoy, head of the Association of Tourism Investors, commented on the boom in early bookings on the Russian market.
The CEO of Etstur noted that such large volumes of tours to Turkey booked in winter have never been observed before. The current figure is 1 Russians - Russian citizens have never caused such a furor in the context of early bookings. Murat Ersoy emphasized that this activity indicates the fact that Russian vacationers are very much missing Turkish resorts after the lackluster 250, most of which the tourist destination was simply unavailable for Russia.
The head of the Association of Tourism Investors also suggested that Russians who found an alternative to the republic last year were dissatisfied with their last experience and still had fresh memories about Turkey decided to return to the previous holiday location.
Murat Ersoy also owns the airline Atlasglobal. In view of the sensational demand of Russians for last minute tours, the travel entrepreneur decided to launch 12 new routes that will connect Istanbul and Antalya with a whole list of Russian cities. The list includes both popular Russian cities among tourists (Moscow, Kazan, St. Petersburg), and more modest players on the tourist map of the country (Samara, Volgograd, Chelyabinsk, Nizhnekamsk). This is not the end of the new products in Atlasglobal. In the near future, the airline will launch 5 new routes to cities in Kazakhstan and 2 more to Ukraine.
