The chocolate festival will take place from April 20 to 23 at the historic Sirkeci train station in Istanbul. The gastronomic celebration will feature world-famous chefs. The festival is organized by Tatu VOTM, ThePartners and Medyadoktoru Yapım.
Various master classes, educational lectures and training courses will be offered in cooperation with BAU Gastronomi. The gastronomy program will be led by Bahcesehir University, which is also the sponsor of the festival, and the USLA Gastronomy Academy, located in Istanbul.
The educational part of the program will inform visitors about the history of chocolate in Turkey. There will be a number of exciting activities for children to participate in on April 23. On this day, the whole of Türkiye celebrates “National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.”
Sirkeci Railway Station, where the chocolate festival will take place, was built in 1890 and served as a terminal for the famous Orient Express. International train services were suspended in 2013 as a result of the conversion of Sirkeci Station to the Marmaray Railway Line.
The Marmaray line connects the European and Asian sides of Istanbul, passing under the Bosphorus. The historic building is now also used as a venue for cultural events.
