As reported by online media, the infamous Russian airline Moskovia, which found itself at the center of a scandal over the cancellation of scheduled international flights due to unpaid fuel and airport fees, has temporarily resumed its flight schedule.
It is reliably known that Moskovia Airlines already made at least two flights from Antalya, Turkey, on July 13 to return tourists to their home countries (Yekaterinburg and Rostov-on-Don) who had been waiting for flights for more than two days. Some reports also suggest that some tourists were evacuated from Tivat, Montenegro, but several dozen Russians, most of them children, remain there.
Moskovia's main base is Moscow's Domodedovo Airport. According to the Moscow airport's press service, the airline has only paid off a small portion of its debts, and its flight permit has been formally extended only until Monday, July 14. Domodedovo management has hinted that if the debts are not fully repaid, the airline's services may be permanently suspended.
