According to the latest information released by the Turkish Environment Research Foundation, the number of beaches and marinas in Mugla Province that have been awarded the international Blue Flag award for their high environmental friendliness, comfort and cleanliness has reached 109.
Province Mugla in Turkey is known to tourists from all over the world, thanks to such world-class resorts as Bodrum, Marmaris, Fethiye, Dalaman, Datca and others. According to the latest information, 109 beaches and marinas of Mugla have been awarded the Blue Flag award - this is the second place in Turkey after the legendary Antalya.
The head of the regional department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, Mr. Veli Celik, noted in a conversation with journalists that the number Blue flags in Mugla has increased by more than 3% over the past 20 years, which indicates the high competitiveness of the region in terms of the global tourism market. The official also recalled the presence of 20 hotels in the Mugla region that have been awarded the "Green Star", awarded for environmental care and high environmental friendliness.
