Christian Kolinski lives in the southern province of Antalya and boasts an unusual business.
An Austrian is involved in organizing donkey tours. Despite the comic nature of the activity, the unusual tourist offer is a profitable business and is in great demand among vacationers.
Christian, 52, moved from Austria to Istanbul with his wife Sibel 10 years ago. The Kolinskis liked the republic, but in the former Constantinople they felt a little uncomfortable due to the hustle and bustle of the urban metropolis. As a result, they began to consider locations for a quieter life and their eyes fell on Kemer.
Soon after moving to the resort, the couple opened a restaurant, and the head of the family also began working as a guide, not only to get to know the area better, but also to promote his establishment among vacationers. After some time, "Uncle Christian" (as the locals call him) decided to launch a new business, but a more exotic one. They came up with the idea of donkey tours - the niche in this area is not occupied at all, so the idea had no prerequisites for a crushing failure. In addition, the couple loves nature very much, so there was no doubt about the careful approach and care of their charges.
Christian bought 5 donkeys, which he spent some time bringing to a presentable appearance - after all, they are a key figure in such a tourist product. As a result, More, Emma, Ringe, Trotro and Lotin joined the working sector of the Kemer tourism industry. Guests are offered 3-hour walks through the local forests and alleys, accompanied by eared guides.
"Uncle Christian" noted that donkeys are very popular in Turkey because of the consumption of their milk. In Europe, this product is little known - as is known, the Old World has had its own alternative in the form of cow's milk for many centuries. Perhaps, over time, the Austrian family will decide to open a donkey farm and, in addition to tourism products, will also produce food products.
It would seem that what else could be invented to entertain already slightly spoiled tourists? In fact, the source of ideas will never end due to the constant development and improvement of human living conditions. And this means that in the future, Turkish resorts may well offer services that will have no analogues in the world.
