Antalya Airport broke its passenger record over the holiday weekend.
Orhan Birdal, Director General of the National Airports Authority, said that Antalya Airport broke its historical record for the number of aircraft landing and departing and passengers.
On Twitter, Birdal announced that Antalya Airport had set a historic record for the holiday weekend marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Thanking all airport employees, Birdal added the following:
"The holiday weekend has brought flights to Antalya. Yesterday, the airport broke a historic record, handling 991 aircraft and 177 passengers. Tourists are still enjoying the holiday. Despite the record number of passengers and aircraft, Antalya Airport offers safe and high-quality service."
