Domodedovo's air gates are considered to be among the best in Eastern Europe. The airport became the gold prize winner of the "Worlds Airport Awards" competition, which was held among airports of the European part of the continent. Every year, about 30 (million) visitors pass through Domodedovo's passenger terminals. During 2015, the passenger turnover of the station amounted to 33 (million) people.
The area of the first segment of the airport complex is almost 240 (sq. km). Since 2014, active work has been underway to build an additional (second) airport terminal, which will expand Domodedovo's territory to a record area of 500 (sq. km). The airport has 2 runways, making it possible to carry out both takeoffs and landings of various airliners simultaneously. And at the moment, construction work is underway to build runway 3. The third runway will be adapted to work with super-powerful airliners such as the Airbus 380. Double-deck giants have been arriving at the Domodedovo port since 2012. Airbus 380 departs daily from the currently existing runways in the direction of the UAE. 
The airport has a very convenient transport interchange. The terminals operating in the station are connected by rail. There is also a developed infrastructure for organizing automobile communication with Moscow and the settlements adjacent to Domodedovo. And there are no problems with accommodating passengers here. Visitors to the airport can easily use cheap hotel near Domodedovo. From the center of the Russian capital to the first passenger terminal Domodedovo - 45 (km), and from the Moscow Ring Road - 22 (km). On the territory of the station there are a large number of parking zones, where visitors to the airport can leave their cars for a symbolic fee of 300 (r) per day. 
Domodedovo is the largest and most modern airport in the Russian Federation. In order to ensure accurate, convenient and efficient operation of all services and departments of the station, the latest technologies were introduced into the airport's equipment. The airport is especially proud of its unique voice notification system for Domodedovo visitors. Broadcasting is conducted in 22 languages at once.
