Dimash, who flew to Bangladesh on a humanitarian mission, was given a mandolin by local musicians.

Dimash Kudaibergen, who flew to Bangladesh as the UN agency IOM Global Goodwill Ambassador, met with musicians from the Rohingya community, our website reports, citing DimashNews.

Dimash is in Bangladesh on a humanitarian mission. On May 18, he met with musicians from the Rohingya community.

Cox's Bazar is now home to hundreds of thousands of displaced people, making it one of the largest refugee camps in the world. However, the people here have not forgotten their history, culture, and musical traditions.

At the Rohingya Cultural Heritage Center, people forced to flee their homes carefully collect and preserve traditional artefacts and instill a love of culture in young people.

They not only play musical instruments, but also create them, despite living in difficult conditions in a temporary settlement.

The Kazakh artist was greeted with special respect—talented musicians, including violinist Roshid Akhmed, drummer Imam Hossein, and other instrumentalists and composers, prepared two compositions for him, one of which was written especially for his arrival.

Dimash played excerpts from famous musical works on the mandolin, which was given to him here, and also became familiar with other traditional instruments.
