The number of Russian tourists in Egypt continues to decline. About 20-30% of tourists are agreeing to fly to Turkey instead of Egypt, while others are willing to discuss potential solutions with tour operators, RIA Novosti quotes Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich as saying.

According to him, "the rest prefer to postpone their trips for now and are considering various settlement options: either delaying their trips or receiving compensation." Baggage will be transported, including on board Russian Emergencies Ministry aircraft. It was also reported that the luggage of Russian citizens will first be delivered to Moscow's Vnukovo Airport and then distributed to the tourists' home cities. "Coordination with our Egyptian colleagues is ongoing in two directions." The Russian citizens are being evacuated without their luggage; it will be sent following their owners on cargo planes.

"Our Egyptian friends have already taken the first steps. The military has already taken control of all passenger check-in procedures. They are present in Sharm el-Sheikh and other airports and are minimizing uncontrolled actions, which, judging by tourists' feedback, were previously present at a number of airports. We see the goodwill of our friends and colleagues to minimize all similar incidents and eliminate threats to the safety of people's lives and health," Dvorkovich said.

Problems are solved in different ways. Some agreed to trade their vacation spot in Egypt for Turkey; there are 20-30 such tourists.
