The Pechersk District Court of the capital of Ukraine today, June 28, made a decision to choose a preventive measure for the lieutenant colonel of the Berkut special forces unit Oleg Yanishevsky remanded in custody until August 20.
The court left the Berkut officer in custody until August 20, reports gursesintour.com.
Let us recall that the deputy commander of the special forces police regiment of the main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ukrainian state, Oleg Yanishevsky, was detained on June 26.
He was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine. The dead protesters were later called the Heavenly Hundred.
Until recently, this lieutenant colonel remained in office.
The GPU also claims that all the Berkut special forces soldiers who took part in the shooting of peaceful protesters during the Revolution of Dignity have been identified.
The head is reasonably suspected of involvement in the murders of protesters in the third month of winter 2014 by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Prosecutor General's Office reported that before that he was part of the so-called "black company" which he led Dmitry Sadovnik, who fled the country.
