Colombian singer and dancer Shakira, 48, was taken to the hospital with abdominal pain, forcing the artist to cancel her concert in Lima, our website reports.
Shakira wrote on her Instagram that she was sad that she would not be able to go on stage and meet the audience.
"I'm looking forward to meeting my Peruvian fans. I hope I feel better tomorrow and can be discharged from the hospital soon so I can give the concert I've prepared for you all," she said.
It is noteworthy that Shakira's concert in the Peruvian capital was originally scheduled for February 16, but the "Whenever, Wherever" singer had to seek medical attention the night before.
A new date for the Lima concert has not yet been set, but the singer and her team are working on it. Shakira is scheduled to perform in her hometown of Barranquilla, Colombia, on Thursday, February 20.
Shakira's "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran" world tour kicked off on February 11 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, seven years after her 2018 "El Dorado" tour.
