Serdyukov becomes new member of the board of directors of Russian Helicopters

Former Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov has joined the board of directors of Russian Helicopters (part of Rostec), RIA Novosti reports, citing a company press release. As noted by gursesintour.com, JSC Russian Helicopters — one of the leading suppliers in the global helicopter manufacturing market, and the only developer and manufacturer of helicopters in the Russian Federation.

In mid-autumn of this year, Serdyukov was appointed Industrial Director of the Rostec State Corporation for the aviation industry. As a reminder, Serdyukov's career as head of the Ministry of Defense ended on November 6, 2012.

The former official resigned as Defense Minister three years ago amid a corruption scandal. The former minister was amnestied last year, and the criminal case against him was closed. The main defendant in the case was former Defense Minister Evgenia Vasilyeva.

Serdyukov became a member of the board of directors of Russian Helicopters.
