The boyfriend of blogger Valeria Chekalina, known as Lerchek, confirmed that the internet celebrity has been diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer, our website reports.
Lerchek's fiancé, Louis Squicciarini, revealed details of her diagnosis on his Instagram page.
"It's scary to write these words. My strongest, brightest, and most beloved girl has stage four stomach cancer with metastases in her spine, legs, and possibly lungs. The diagnosis has already been confirmed. Tomorrow, Valeria begins chemotherapy." — Chekalina’s lover wrote.
He added that family and friends are doing everything they can to help her through this difficult ordeal.
"A few years ago, I lost my younger brother to this disease. And today, it's back in my life, affecting the person most dear to me. But this time, I won't let cancer take her, too.
"Lera, you gave me your whole heart, helped me become a better person, made me a real man, and gave me a wonderful son. You are the strongest woman I've ever met, and I'm proud of you. We won't give up—we'll fight together. I'll pick you up as many times as it takes and walk with you every step of this difficult journey." - added Luis Squicciarini.
As a reminder, yesterday her lover revealed that Valeria Chekalina was diagnosed with cancer after giving birth.
In 2023, bloggers Valeria and Artem Chekalin were charged with criminal offenses and banned from using the internet. The couple was accused of tax evasion and money laundering.
In 2024, a new criminal case was opened against Russian million-follower blogger Valeria Chekalina, known online as Lerchek, and her ex-husband Artem. Valeria was placed under house arrest.
