In the Bryansk region, a drunk driver hit three teenagers on one of the local highways, as reported on the website of the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
At about 4 a.m. today, May 3, a tragic traffic accident occurred in the Dyatkovo district. A foreign car ran over three young people walking along the side of the road. "As a result of the accident, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl died on the spot, and another 16-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries," the agency representative said. Another 16-year-old victim was hospitalized.
“The driver who caused the accident has been detained, and investigators intend to file a motion to arrest him in the near future,” the statement said.
A criminal case has been opened. The driver faces up to 7 years in prison.
