The American authorities have already started building the roadway. It is located in Detroit and is 1600 meters long. The road will be able to charge electric cars if a special receiver is installed on them.
The project will be completed and launched in 2023. The state of Michigan is allocating $2 million for the new technology.
The electric vehicle will be charged both while moving and when stopped. A special inductive charging process transfers energy from metal coils to the electric vehicle's receiver.
