"I'm shocked": Bayan Alaguzova reacts to the controversy surrounding the "Kyz Zhibek" camisole

Kazakh producer and actress Bayan Alaguzova commented on the situation surrounding the camisole worn by the heroine of the film "Kyz Zhibek" on her Instagram page, our website reports.

The producer noted that the camisole had been of no use to anyone for almost half a century, but after it ended up in her hands, it became like a "lump in everyone's throat."

"You know, I'm also in shock from the culture shock. For some reason, no one wanted this camisole for over 50 years. No one remembered it. Why didn't you remember it for all these 30 years? And where are the costumes from the great film? Where are they? Who preserved them? No one did," Alaguzova said.

According to her, this waistcoat was kept by "one holy woman."

"It doesn't exist on any piece of paper or balance sheet. It was preserved by a holy woman who simply kept the vest in her home. And now she wanted it to be in good, safe hands," Bayan said, adding that the woman herself had decided to give the vest to her.

The actress herself plans to make replicas of the camisole and promote it during the "Kazakh aruy" competition.

"I'll sew replicas of the outfit, collaborate with the film... Or I'll donate it to a museum. Let it hang there, and let 30 people a year see it... Let's accept that this is my camisole and that I will do everything to popularize and idealize this beauty created by Gulfairus Ismailova," Bayan concluded.
