I will say right away that NEL coils - all of them without exception - are suitable for Garrett's "ACEs". They can be easily installed on the ACE 150, and on the ACE 250, and on the ACE 350, etc. At the same time, the coils themselves are so ideal that it seems as if it is impossible to do better. NEL has tested the technology well. Oh well, in principle we are not talking about the coils, but about the metal detector.
So, here's to the new one metal detector I was a bit short on money, so I was looking for a used ICQ. I didn't want to buy the ACE 150, 250, or 350 at all - after all, the models are far from new, if not outdated. But the ACE 400, no matter how you look at it, is a bit pricey. No, maybe it's worth the money, but personally, I simply don't need some of the options. Why spend extra money on unnecessary options? In general, by this method of elimination, I came to the ACE 200i.
Besides, I was quite lucky, if I may say so: I found a practically new metal detector for 60% of the cost, while the cost of a new one itself is quite small. If we went out into the field with it at all, then only a few times at most. This was clearly visible from the original batteries - the previous owner did not even have time to properly discharge them.
In short, I attached my NEL coil to it and was extremely pleased. Everything I need is in it. The device itself is durable and reliable. The coil fits in like a native. And most importantly, I paid, if not "pennies", then still quite inexpensively. In the luxury class, for three or four times more money, you can look for something more interesting with some nubo-goodies and bells and whistles, but for a budget option, the ACE 200i is, perhaps, an ideal option.
