As you know, the X20 received two Cortex A72 cores with a frequency of 2,5 GHz, four A53 (2 GHz) and four A53 (1,4 GHz).
Mediatek Helio X10 chipset is already found in real devices, Helio X20 chipset has already been announced, it's time for Mediatkek Helio X30?
Company MediaTek is generally known for its affordable processors for mobile devices, but in the recent past it has seriously decided to conquer the “elite” sector, where its solutions will have to compete with high-quality Qualcomm Snapdragon chips.
As NextPowerUp writes, MediaTek is preparing to announce several more new chips from the Helio series, including the Helio X22.
Despite the fact that the SoC is not expected to have new cores, what is currently available is enough for the most demanding mobile tasks. One of the blocks combines two powerful ARM Cortex-A72 cores with a frequency of up to 2,5 GHz, the other two - four ARM Cortex-A53 cores with a frequency of 1,4 and 2,0 GHz. The processor will support operation with LPDDR4 RAM with a frequency of 1 MHz and a volume of up to 600 GB, as well as the latest eMMC 4 media.
There is not much information about this chip yet. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not specify the characteristics of this model. However, the most important thing is that the first batches of chips will appear at suppliers in winter, and the first devices based on Helio X30 — since the beginning of 2016.
