Kaliningrad Commercial Sea Port OJSC is the largest enterprise in the Kaliningrad region's port complex. Cargo turnover in Primorsk also increased by 1,8% to 24,5 million tons, while in Vysotsk it increased by 0,3% to 7 million tons.
Freight turnover The Azov-Black Sea basin's seaports handled approximately 88 million tons (+8.5%). In Kaliningrad, as in St. Petersburg, cargo transshipment volumes decreased by 3,5% to 5,4 million tons.
The volume of dry cargo transshipment remained at the 2014 level and amounted to approximately 113,9 million tons. This includes coal transshipment, which increased by 2,2%, ferrous metals, by 11,2%, mineral fertilizers, by 0,6%, and ferry cargo, which increased by 1,8 times.
The cargo turnover of all seaports of the Russian Federation for January-May 2015 increased by 4,4% compared to the same period last year and amounted to approximately 268,4 million tons.
In the ports of the Baltic Basin, the volume of cargo transshipment increased to 94,7 million tons (+3,0%).
In the seaports of the Far Eastern basin, cargo turnover increased to 68,5 million tons (+2,8%), of which dry cargo – 37,8 million tons (-3,2%), liquid cargo – 30,7 million tons (+11,3%).
The volume of liquid cargo transshipment amounted to approximately 154.5 million tons (+7.9%), including: crude oil - 85.4 million tons (+5.7%), petroleum products - 61.9 million tons (+12.1%), liquefied gas - 5.7 million tons (+3.9%).
