Galaxy Tab E 8.0 – a new tablet from Samsung

Anyone interested in the budget tablet lineup like the Galaxy Tab E might be interested in learning more about the latest eight-inch model.

Our international colleagues at SamMobile have shared exclusive information about the supposed successor to the Samsung Galaxy Tab E. The South Korean giant is said to have already begun intensive development and plans to unveil it in the first quarter of 2016. The device, model number SM-T377, is sold through local carriers Sprint and Verizon. Its specifications are far from flagship. Meanwhile, US citizens can purchase the device for even less, namely $130. However, this will require a two-year contract with the aforementioned carriers. It runs Android 5.1.1.

The tablet also features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture, Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/GLONASS, a microSD card slot, and an LTE modem. It is powered by a 5000 mAh battery and supports 3G.

The dimensions and weight of the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 are 212 x 126 x 8,9 mm and 355 grams.
