Earlier, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak announced that oil prices would not rise to $100 per barrel anytime soon.

Last winter, some exchange offices asked for more than one hundred rubles for a dollar. Thus, on August 26, one dollar was offered for 69,134 rubles, the European currency was traded for 77,221 rubles.

The weakening of the rouble coincided with a sharp drop in oil prices.

The euro exchange rate for tomorrow's settlements has risen by 85 kopecks to 77,1480 rubles by this time, according to exchange data. These data are posted following the close of today's trading on the Moscow International Currency Exchange.

In addition, the US Federal Reserve's monetary policy meeting will take place on September 16-17. Brent crude fell 3 percent to $47 per barrel.
