The guest was greeted in a Kazakh yurt with a rich dastarkhan. Girls in traditional attire danced before him; even Bayan Maksatkyzy's mother wore a camisole and dress.
The guest was presented with a traditional gift—a chapan. Bayan Alaguzova practiced her English, telling the American about the traditions of our people.
