A complex lawsuit was filed against the representative office of the French BlaBlaCar service in Russia, i.e. OOO Komyuto Rus, requesting to block the service in the Russian Federation. The demand was received from the interregional public organization "Association of Automobile Passenger Carriers".
The Russian service accuses illegal carriers of the BlaBlaCar company, as they do not pay taxes, and also do not provide adequate safety during the transportation of clients. It was emphasized that such drivers earn money on their services, charging money not only for fuel compensation. BlaBlaCar employees cannot give their passengers any guarantees, as there is no information about their health, the serviceability of the car, as well as a license to transport passengers. The plaintiffs insistently demand that the BlaBlaCar mobile application be disabled in the Russian Federation.
