Seven years later, Alsou revealed the truth about the scandal on the show "The Voice. Kids."

Russian singer Alsou made a heartbreaking confession on the program "Do Re"—she spoke frankly about what happened on the show "The Voice. Kids" seven years ago, our website reports.

Alsou appeared on the new episode of "Do Re" and answered journalists' questions. The scandal surrounding "The Voice: Kids," in which her daughter Mikella participated, was once again brought up.

"This topic is probably inevitable and it's probably time to put some sort of end to it.

Even though it's been seven years, my heart still aches. Honestly, it was a difficult time in my life. Sorry, I'm going back to those emotions," Alsou noted, barely holding back tears.

The singer made a frank confession and apologized again.

"It's true that there was interference in the voting process at the end of the program. I had nothing to do with it, and certainly not my daughter Mikella.

Moreover, when I realized that there was such a moment, I realized that there was some kind of interference, I came home, looked my husband in the eyes and said: “Please stop, don’t do this!”

My request was ignored because the father also loves his daughter and wanted to do the best, but, unfortunately, it turned out the way it did.

"Of course, I want to apologize to Channel One and to everyone involved. But believe me, I'm absolutely not at fault, and certainly not my daughter Mikella. Thank you for your understanding." — Alsou admitted.

As a reminder, Alsu's daughter, Mikella Abramova, won the 2019 final of "The Voice Kids." Eleven-year-old Yerzhan Maxim from Kazakhstan came in second.

Many viewers suspected that the show's voting was rigged. Most believed that Yerzhan Maxim should have been the true winner.

Comedian Maxim Galkin was one of the first to comment on the incident, and Iosif Prigozhin also weighed in. The Kazakh's coach, Valery Meladze, called for a review of the show's results.

Following an investigation into the voting results, Channel One decided to annul the results of the show's season finale.

Afterwards, Konstantin Ernst announced all the finalists of the sixth season, including Yerzhan Maksim and Mikella Abramova, as winners of the "Voice. Kids" project.

Alsou made a public apology for her daughter's unfair victory.
